Biography
I am a passionate advocate for the local community, dedicated to making a positive impact on the place I have called home for over 53 years. As a resident of Shaw, I have witnessed the decline in the village first hand and it has made it my mission to revitalise and restore its former glory.
Family is the centre of my life, a devoted wife and a loving parent to three children, I take great joy in being a proud grandmother to five grandchildren.
Over the past two years, I have emerged as a vocal advocate for the residents of Shaw and Crompton. Recognising the issues and challenges faced by the community, I have actively assisted fellow residents and addressed their concerns. Now a Parish Counsellor, I can continue my advocacy work on a broader scale. Collaborating with fellow counsellors, I aim to breathe new life into the town, fostering a sense of pride and improving conditions for both residents and local businesses.
I thoroughly enjoy meeting and engaging with residents, as I believe in the power of personal connection and understanding their needs. Through active listening and a compassionate approach, I strive to provide the best support and solutions to those who seek assistance.
When not immersed in community work, I enjoy socialising with family and friends. Additionally, I have a profound love for dogs and a passion for exploring the world extending to holidays abroad, particularly enjoying cruising as a way to unwind and discover new places.
Through my tireless efforts, I hope to restore Shaw to its former vibrancy, fostering a thriving community for generations to come.
