Biography
I am a 43 year old wife and mother of ten year old twins. I was born and brought up in Oldham and for the last twenty years I have been a resident of Shaw.
I went to Liverpool University where I attained a BN (Hons) in Nursing. I qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2000, the following year qualifying as a District Nurse Specialist Practitioner. I furthered my studies in 2007 attaining a Master of Science degree in Advanced Practice Health and Social Care. I have been a Community Matron /Advanced Nurse Practitioner for the last 18 years predominantly working in Oldham. I am a Nurse Director for Oldham East Primary Care Network and a Nurse Partner / Co owner of a local GP surgery within the Oldham area.
I feel I can bring my knowledge, experience and skills from working within the local community to assist to improve our local area and amenities.
I am passionate about Shaw and keen to improve on the strong sense of Community that already exists here. I want to bring our children up in Shaw Safely, with improved access to local amenities with improved activities for children and families. I wish to assist to improve our environment in Shaw for all residents.
